How long do I have to finish the Marathon?
The race starts at 7:30 am and the course closes at 2:00 pm. There is a 6 1/2 hour time limit. This time limit will be strictly enforced.
I've already registered for the Marathon, but realistically I'm only going to be able to finish the Half Marathon distance. Can I switch over to the Half Marathon from the Full Marathon?
You can switch from the Full to the Half or vice-versa through August 31st for no charge. For any changes made September 1st or later, there will be a $10 administrative fee to make the change. You also have to pay the difference if the event entry fee you are switching to is higher. All change requests must be made prior to September 10th - no exceptions. To make a change:

Can we switch a Relay team member to another person after we've already registered our team?
You can switch Relay team members through August 31st for no charge. For any changes made September 1st or later, there will be a $10 administrative fee to make the change. All team members must fill out a registration form and sign the waiver before a change can be made. All change requests must be made prior to September 10th - no exceptions. Can I walk the Full or Half Marathon?
You can run or walk the Full or Half Marathon, but there is a 6 1/2 hour course time limit for walkers or runners.
Will the mile markers be labeled?
There will be mile markers at every mile along the course on both the Full and Half Courses.
What if I need to drop out of the race while I'm out on the course?
If you need to drop out of the race, please inform either a Water Stop Captain or a Road Marshal and give them your bib #. They will communicate this to our Command Post so we will know you are no longer on the course.
Do I need to provide my own transportation to and from the Marathon Relay exchange points?
Relay Shuttles will be provided, however, there is also parking available at each Relay point as well. Relay Shuttle schedule coming soon.
Will any of the roads be closed to traffic?
There will be some road closures & delays the morning of the race. The race begins at 7:30 am in Maplewood Park on Maplewood Drive (by the tennis courts). The course closes at 2:00 pm. But please keep in mind that roads will be re-open as the final runner passes each checkpoint. We appreciate the efforts of the Rochester & Irondequoit Police Departments, who along with volunteer road marshals will do their very best to lessen the impact to the community while keeping the runners and walkers out of harm’s way. The traffic advisory for 2019 will be posted as we get closer to race day.
Will I be able to register for the marathon events on the day of the race?
Yes, there will be day-of registration at Maplewood Park on race morning. You can also register at Packet Pick-Up on Friday, September 20th from 10:00 am - 7:00 pm and Saturday, September 21st from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm.
Are there refunds allowed on my registration Fee?
Our refund policy is as follows:
90+ days prior from the race, 90% refund
60-89 days prior to the race, 50% refund
30-59 days prior to the race, 25% refund
Less than 30 days prior to the race, no refund
