You Can Make a Difference!
While training to run the Marathon, Half Marathon or Relay, please consider fundraising for the Arthritis Foundation as part of your journey. You have the ability to help men, women & children who are affected daily by arthritis. Collect pledges from friends, family & co-workers. You can even set up your own personal webpage to help make your fundraising even easier! You can send personal emails from your site encouraging people to participate in your fundraising efforts. You can also earn some great incentive prizes!

Fundraising Tips
Here are some tips to help you with your fundraising efforts:
- Collect donations at the time you ask for them
- Ask friends, family, co-workers & neighbors to support you
- Ask a business that you frequent to support you (ex - hairdresser, dry cleaner, etc)
- Contact your company's suppliers/vendors
- Ask for donations from a club or group you belong to
- Hold a fundraisier at work or school. Have a bake sale, sell bagels in the morning, have a "dress down day" or "jeans day" at work or hold a garage sale.

Mission of the Arthritis Foundation
The mission of the Arthritis Foundation is to improve lives through leadership in the prevention, control and cure of arthritis and related diseases.
The MVP Health Care Rochester Marathon is a tremendous opportunity to impact the lives of 1.5 million adults and children that live in our Upstate New York Chapter region with arthritis or chronic join symptoms. Get your company involved, recruit your friends and family members to form a team for the Marathon Relay. Best of all, run or walk in honor of a loved one with arthritis and know you are making a difference by raising funds to support Arthritis Foundation research, public health and public policy efforts to improve the lives of people with arthritis.
